About Fencing

The URI Fencing Club welcomes fencers of all experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced competitors. We are an inclusive, supportive, and student-led community dedicated to learning, improving, and having fun both on and off the strip. Our club provides a relaxed environment where members can develop their skills at their own pace. Whether you're looking to compete, stay active, learn a unique sport, or simply make new friends, there is a place for you on our team. While we regularly attend tournaments throughout the year, competition is completely optional—members are never required to compete to be part of the club.

Beyond practice, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere through social events, team bonding, and a positive club culture. We believe fencing should be challenging, rewarding, and, most importantly, enjoyable. If you're interested in trying something new or continuing your fencing journey, we'd love to have you join us!
